Message	I find it humorous that some politician made a law that would require the owner to actually observe the destruction of their vehicle. Talk about a complete waste of resources - they could at least auction it off and make money for the police department or whatever department had jurisdiction over the case. Making the laws that tough is going to dissuade some people from doing it, but not everyone. Those that will continue to do it will likely feel forced into breaking more serious laws such as fleeing and eluding, and likely end up taking someone's life as well as their own in the process.
